Real-time voice conversation
Every plan includes oral defenses, practice, transcripts, and scoring. Live, back-and-forth spoken conversation, where the AI talks with the student in real time, is included with Faculty Pro, Department, and Institution plans. It runs on higher-cost speech-to-speech models, so it is reserved for these paid plans.
Do students ever pay?
Not by default. Assessment access is covered by your department or institution license, or by your own Pro plan. (A self-pay option exists for the rare course nobody covers, but it is never required by Rocketproof.)
How do instructor pilots work?
Limited pilots are approved through the pilot application process. If your pilot is approved, Rocketproof will confirm the pilot term, seat limits, and support plan before access begins. Pilots are managed separately from paid plans.
Department vs Institution license?
Department: a program, school, or division buys student seats with a credit card in minutes and manages its own instructors. Institution: full-campus deployment with SSO, LTI, roster sync, and PO/invoice procurement.
Is there a long sales cycle?
Faculty Pro can be purchased directly with self-serve checkout. Department and institution plans can be handled by card, PO, or invoice depending on the plan and contract size. Institutional quotes go out within one business day.
